Our school was first founded as “ The Second Junior High School in Aichi Prefecture” on April 17, in the 29^th year of Meiji Era. Since then, it has had its history and tradition for 119 years long. During this time, over thirty thousand students, including the part-time students in the evening course, have studied at this school, and graduated to become the leaders in this nation or society.

　Our main educational purpose is “ To bring up students to be a promising creator of the nation or society, with high intelligence, much aesthetic sensitivity, and strong mind and body” , and we aim to develop a well- balanced personality between knowledge, virtue, and body. So in a daily school life, the students sincerely make efforts, and the teachers enthusiastically guide them, having strict but hearty relationships with each other.

　We lay emphasis on the three main points: classes, school events, club activities, and are characterized by thoroughly performing them. Both teachers and students are well aware that the concentration in classes, the preparation for the lessons, and the review of the lessons are fundamentally important, and put these into practice. And we think that the full use of imagination and concentration in the school events helps the students keep balance between brain, body and mind, and develop each of them equally well. And moreover, our students are worthy of note in that they are full of vitality, because they energetically do the club activities after school. There are various kinds of club activities: the renowned club, such as Chorus, or Field and Track, Debate club, Newspaper club, Photo club, Literature and Arts club, Broadcasting club, Cheering club, Juggling club, and so on.
